Press Release: Colorado Democratic Party Calls for Grand Jury Investigation of 9/11

October 29, 2010, Press Release

Colorado Democratic Party Calls for Grand Jury Investigation of 9/11

The 2010 Colorado Democratic Party platform, approved by the 146 member platform committee states:

“Whereas many disturbing facts were consciously ignored by the 9/11 Commission; Be it resolved, therefore, that the CDP calls for the establishment of a truly independent Grand Jury and public investigation into these and other anomalies in order to find the truth of the September 11, 2001 attacks, so that we have a greater probability of preventing attacks of this nature in the future.”

This controversial plank was added to the State Democratic Party Platform after evidence supporting the critical need for a new investigation was presented at several caucuses in 2004, 2008, and 2010.

The citizens who presented arguments for a new investigation at their precinct caucuses are signatories to the Architect and Engineers for 9/11 Truth organization (www.ae911truth.org) which calls for a new investigation into the events of September 11, 2001.

The quality of evidence contradicting the official 9/11 story is substantiated in part by the 2010 Platform Committee Chairman Hal Bidlack’s statement: “ ….this platform represents the consensus of the 2010 Platform Committee, guided by the results of county assemblies across our state. The folks who worked tirelessly on the Committee can rightly be proud of their efforts, and deserve our special thanks.” (Bidlack’s statement can be found on page one of the 2010 platform.)

In the upcoming Colorado election, Green Party U.S. Senatorial candidate Bob Kinsey and District One U.S. Representative candidate Gary Swing have publicly stated they would support a new investigation into the events of September 11, 2001.

Denver 9/11 Truth Monthly Video and Action Meeting: “Hypothesis” – The Life and Struggles of Prof. Steven Jones: October 2010

This month, we are pleased to present Hypothesis, a new documentary film by Brett Smith on the life and struggles of physicist Professor Steven E. Jones during the years when his criticism of the official explanation for the destruction of the World Trade Center drew national attention to him and Brigham Young University. Please see below for a full synopsis.

Videos: Hypothesis, plus a mystery video or short films

Professor Jones had been teaching at Brigham Young University (BYU) for over twenty years, and he loved his students and his career. He was attending a lecture in 2005 when the subject of 9/11 came up. The lecturer hinted that something was deeply amiss in the official story and half the room agreed with her. Professor Jones fell into the other half of the room’s shocked surprise at the idea. Afterwards he did some research on the  internet, discovered Jim Hoffman’s WTC 7 site, and learned for the first time about World Trade Center Building 7 which, not struck by a plane, came down in the exact manner of a controlled demolition. His research into the destruction of the buildings began.

Professor Jones wrote his first paper on the subject, “Why Indeed Did the WTC Buildings Completely Collapse?”, and presented a seminar on the same topic at BYU, both of which drew the local press and created quite a stir.

The film contains some priceless exchanges and interviews with random students and the administration officials at BYU, which are enlightening, frightening, and humorous. Most impressive are the interviews with Dr. Jones’s scientific collaborator Dr. Jeffrey Farrer, as well as views of the lab and their experiments. There is an excellent clip documenting the circumstances of the gathering of the first dust sample that Dr. Jones and Dr. Farrer examined together.

The most dramatic, surprising, and damning interview, however, is with C. Martin Hinckley, the man who first threatened Jones and then tried to bribe him to stop his research on the evidence of explosives. In fact, his threats are later to materialize in the media attacks and the administrative leave that ended Professor Jones’s teaching career at BYU.

As we meet his wife, son, and grandchild in the film and we become aware of his gentle, friendly, and caring nature, it becomes clear that it hurt him deeply to be forced to stop teaching. When he speaks clearly about his “pursuit of truth,” we can see in him the spiritual resolve of Gandhi and Martin Luther King, Jr., both of whom practiced “satyagraha,” “satya” meaning “truth” and “agraha” meaning “pursuit of.” Satyagraha was the term created to describe the non-violent movement that Gandhi led, which also began on a September 11th, in 1906. Professor Jones may laugh when he is nervous or frightened, but he clearly has courage, born out of a great love for his family, his community, his country, and the world.

Although Professor Jones has been attacked in academia as well as by the media, it is clear that his research is logical, holds up under close scrutiny, and follows the scientific method. This documentary is a rare, honest gem of a film which provides an inspiring example of what Orwell meant when he wrote, “In a time of universal deceit, to tell the truth is a revolutionary act.”

The film is short, 48 minutes long, and ends symbolically with a view of the door closing as Professor Jones leaves his office at BYU to continue his 9/11 research on his own.

Following this film, we will watch a mystery video, or several short films, to be determined.

Denver Monthly Meeting: “A Presentation in Memory of Martin Luther King, Jr.”: April 2010

Dear 9/11 Truth Friends and Activists,

At our monthly meeting this Friday, April 16, in memory of the assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr., 42 years ago this month, we will forego our usual 9/11 video fare and instead offer a special live audio-visual presentation by Denver attorney Earl Staelin. As with the events of 9/11, the official story of the King assassination does not add up, and for those willing to look at the evidence, an entirely different picture emerges. Fortunately we are now the beneficiaries of decades of painstaking research into what actually transpired that day. What you don’t know about this event will surprise you.

“The King Assassination: Must History Be Revised?”

  • A presentation by Earl Staelin
  • 90 minutes (plus Q&A)

____________________________________________________________________

In January 1967, young photojournalist William Pepper published an article in Ramparts magazine on the devastating effect of the Vietnam War on civilians, featuring many photographs of their disfiguring and crippling injuries. The article deeply impressed King, who then met with Pepper and saw many more of Pepper’s war photos. The experience helped turn King solidly against the war, and he linked the war to the issue of poverty in America. On April 4, 1967, King delivered his powerful anti-Vietnam War speech, “Beyond Vietnam,” while also during that period organizing a movement called the Poor People’s Campaign. On April 4, 1968, King was assassinated. James Earl Ray, who had pled guilty to the murder but recanted his confession three days later, was ultimately convicted of the crime and received a 99-year prison sentence. However, in 1978 Rev. Ralph Abernathy asked Pepper, by then an attorney, to look into the possibility that James Earl Ray might be innocent. Pepper began an extensive investigation into King’s murder in which he eventually concluded that Ray was indeed innocent and discovered the true conspirators. In 1993 Pepper represented Ray in a televised mock trial for murder before a distinguished federal judge and against a successful Tennessee prosecutor. Ray participated from prison by closed circuit TV. The jury found Ray not guilty after a two-week trial.

Most significantly, in 1999 Pepper tried a civil wrongful death case on behalf of the King family in which the jury, after three weeks and the testimony of some 70 witnesses, found Loyd Jowers, an admitted actual participant in the murder plot, liable for the murder, clearing Ray and finding that individuals in federal, state, and local government were also involved in the assassination. Pepper also proved that the New Orleans mafia played a central role. Pepper’s outstanding books on the trials, Orders to Kill (1995) and An Act of State (2003), as well as the trials themselves, received little media coverage. Why did Ray plead guilty? What forces killed King and why? How did they succeed? How did the coverup succeed? What role did the CIA campaign “Operation Mockingbird” play in the coverup and media suppression? Learn the answers to these questions and many more this Friday evening.

Earl Staelin is a Denver trial attorney with a longstanding interest in truth and transparency in government. Earl will present the story of Pepper’s investigation and the two trials through a visual presentation where you see the scene of the murder, actual witnesses, what they said, and the numerous forces involved in the murder and cover-up.
