9/11 Mysteries is a careful deconstruction of the official story of the “collapse” of the three World Trade Center (WTC) buildings–the Twin Towers and WTC-7–set alongside clean, clear science. It is ninety minutes of pure demolition evidence and analysis, laced with eye-opening witness testimonials. The treatment of 9/11 is not one of politics or nationalism or loyalty, but one of strict and simple physics.

This is the film you should bring your still skeptical friends to watch. It reaches out to mainstream America with–no agenda, no finger-pointing–just the facts and scientific evidence and analysis. It is a story of eyewitnesses: World Trade Center worker William Rodriguez’s recollection of explosions in the sub-basement levels several seconds before the airplane crashed high above and of strange noises on the 34th floor; and Scott Forbes’s recounting of power-downs and evacuation drills in the towers in the days and weeks before 9/11, and of strange construction and drilling sounds coming from the adjacent floors above. Who and what were causing the unusual construction-like sounds and dust in the towers just weeks before the towers fell?

This is also the story of blasting technique: how shaped charges are strategically placed to slice through steel beams, allowing total control of how a building falls. This information sheds light about how a building can be purposely rigged to collapse and thus sheds insight into what happened on the fateful day of 9/11.

Here are what some independent researchers, scientists, and viewers said about the film when it was first available:

Excellent. The best of the 9/11 movies.
- David Ray Griffin, author of The New Pearl Harbor

Watch and decide for yourself.
- Rosie O’Donnell

WOW! is my reaction to this movie.
- Steven E. Jones, physics professor

A superb work and asset to the patriot community and America itself.
- Aaron Russo, producer/director, America: From Freedom to Fascism

9/11 Mysteries still is one of the best 9/11 films available. It provides the most compelling facts alongside the most professional production, and has thus been widely praised by film critics and academics alike.

Refreshingly, the film is devoid of the emotional sparring that so often surfaces in this highly charged subject. Rather, in honor of those who lost their lives on that fateful day, the film seeks to discover the full truth through an objective, evenhanded look at physical evidence, eyewitness testimonials, and expert analysis. You will find no name-calling, politicking, or crass appeals to emotion.

Through its careful investigation of the facts, the film shows how the “official story” not only fails to adequately explain the events of 9/11 –– it actually flies in the face of hard science. How can a 110-story building collapse at near free fall acceleration? What happened to the undamaged steel core columns? How was it possible that molten steel simmered under Ground Zero for months after the collapses, when jet fuel fires could not have melted the steel? These questions are not even addressed in the 9/11 Commission Report.

Another mystery is WTC-7, a building that housed the U.S. Secret Service, the Department of Defense, the Mayor’s Office of Emergency Management, the IRS, the CIA, and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, which housed over 3,000 case files of damning documents pertaining to the investigation of Wall Street corruption and insider-trading, such as the Citigroup and the Enron scandals. Although virtually ignored by mainstream media, WTC-7 also “collapsed” at near free-fall acceleration on 9/11. However, it was not hit by any airplane, and only suffered minor damage, and yet it too came straight down at 5:20 PM on 9/11 in 6.6 seconds.

Clearly, there is more to the 9/11 story than is being portrayed in mainstream media–or by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

Please join us for the screening of one of the classic 9/11 documentaries examining the evidence of destruction of the three World Trade Center skyscrapers, and for a discussion following the film.

Our April meeting in Denver and Boulder will include a short presentation by Joseph Karuna. Joseph has assembled an impressive packet of 9/11 educational materials that he presented this month to many well-placed officials at the National Conference on Media Reform in Denver and the Conference on World Affairs in Boulder. He will have packets available for a donation.

Following this, Denver will screen the excellent and hard-hitting documentary by Scott Noble, The Power Principle Part II: Propaganda (1 hour, 40 minutes), and Boulder will screen the new documentary by Adnan Zuberi, 9/11 In the Academic Community: Academia’s Treatment of Critical Perspectives on 9/11 (1 hour). We will provide copies of The Power Principle Part II: Propaganda to attendees in Boulder. Grand Junction will screen The Power Principle Part II.

Denver and Grand Junction Film: In his documentary trilogy The Power Principle, Scott Noble, focusing on the last 70 years, does not soft-pedal his historical account of how the U. S. empire was constructed. Part I: Empire documents how U.S. foreign policy, whether under Republican or Democratic regimes, is based on (1) the interests of major corporations and a tiny elite to increase profits and (2) the U.S. government’s interests in maintaining and expanding its imperialistic influence. Part III: Apocalypse details how externally–and increasingly internally–this has caused massive poverty and suffering, genocide, war, coups, crushed unions and popular movements, and environmental destruction.

Following World War II American foreign policy planners were faced with a choice: to embrace democracy in all of its forms in various countries or to suppress huge populations around the globe through violence. It chose the latter.

Part II: Propaganda illustrates how American empire has been made possible through fear of the former Soviet Union and Communists, and of course, the newest enemy, terrorists. We will see in this film how fear has been mongered by constantly invoking an external threat that was (and is), in reality, little or no threat at all.

Economic and military power are the real goals of U.S. foreign policy, which means the crushing of popular movements in third world countries. The film exposes documented examples of this thesis. The quotes below are from the film.

In order to make the country bear the burden we have to create an emotional atmosphere akin to wartime psychology. We must create the idea of a threat from without. ~ John Foster Dulles, brother of Allan Dulles, CIA Director

Scare the hell out of them! This is the advice from Senator Vandenberg, (R Michigan) to President Truman in 1947. It was his resolution of June 1948 that is considered the foundation of NATO. Vandenberg always understood that NATO’s purpose was to maintain and expand the growing U.S. empire. He also understood that the people of the United States were reluctant to have their country assume the role of world’s policeman, especially so soon after the carnage of World War II. Thus the above-quoted advice, which has been the essence of Washington’s line to its own citizens ever since.

Our country is now geared to an arms economy which was bred in an artificially induced psychosis of war hysteria and nurtured upon an incessant propaganda of fear. ~ General Douglas MacArthur

Boulder Film: 9/11 In the Academic Community is the winner of the 2011 University of Toronto Film Festival. It consists of interviews of recognized professors discussing their experiences resulting from speaking out about perspectives on 9/11 which differ from the official account.

The film “explores the nature and dimensions of the taboo of critically examining 9/11 on campus and the serious repercussions various academics have faced. Why do many professors aggressively identify with the Bush administration’s official narrative of 9/11 despite being harsh critics of the administration? How do students respond to literature critical of 9/11 in the classroom? And what is the relationship between universities and the government? Through a powerful reflection on intellectual courage and the purpose of academia, the film aims at changing intellectual discourse on 9/11.” (http://911inacademia.wordpress.com/)

We hope you will join us and bring a friend for these excellent documentaries!

Reel Bad Arabs: How Hollywood Vilifies a People (50 minutes)

This groundbreaking documentary dissects a slanderous aspect of cinematic history that has run virtually unchallenged from the earliest days of silent film to today’s biggest Hollywood blockbusters. Featuring acclaimed author Dr. Jack Shaheen, the film explores a long line of degrading images of Arabs –– from Bedouin bandits and submissive maidens to sinister sheikhs and gun-wielding “terrorists” –– along the way offering insights into the origin of these stereotypical images, their development at key points in U.S. history, and why they matter so much today. Dr. Shaheen shows how the persistence of these images over time has served to desensitize and “naturalize” prejudicial attitudes toward Arabs and Arab culture.

Shaheen inspires critical thinking about the consequences of these Hollywood caricatures, and he challenges viewers to recognize the urgent need for counter-narratives that do justice to the diversity and humanity of Arab people and the reality and richness of Arab history and culture. He reveals that a number of these films have been made with the cooperation of the Department of Defense. (The recent Hollywood film “Zero Dark Thirty” is a prime example of the use of theatrical films to further instill fictitious official narratives into the minds of the American public.)

Most of us in modern America understand that stereotypes are morally wrong and simply not truthful, but stereotypes take a long time to wither away. Often we find them comfortable, and we resist adjusting our perceptions of a people who have been maligned. We (and Hollywood) have, nonetheless, corrected our stereotype of Jews, Afro-Americans, and Native Americans, among others. Our hats are off to Dr. Jack Shaheen who continues this consciousness-raising American tradition. In the last segment of this documentary Shaheen talks about several recent films that begin to break down the stereotypes. He ends with an expression of hope in young, creative filmmakers who are moving beyond the stereotypical and bigoted depictions from Hollywood.

“Washington and Hollywood spring from the same DNA.” - Jack Valenti, Former President and CEO of Motion Picture Association of America

Attack of the Drones (a 24-minute Al Jazeera report)

The U.S. military’s increasing dependency on drones –– also known as “Unmanned Aerial Vehicles” (UAVs) –– to continue its so-called “war on terror” in Afghanistan, Iraq, Yemen, Pakistan, Libya, Syria, and other places is turning controversial as evidenced by the international reaction to the ongoing drone missile strikes in those countries.

However, President Obama’s administration is undeterred, favoring the technology because it reduces the need for American troops in those countries and the risk of politically unpalatable U.S. casualties.

But the use of aerial drones is giving rise to concerns that these attacks are becoming just a big computer game, in which “desk pilots” sitting at computer consoles in air-conditioned rooms (located on military bases within the U.S.) far from the battlefield can easily kill so-called “enemy combatants” and then go home to their families, remote from the human consequences of their actions and spared the anguish of knowing he or she personally was responsible for civilian casualties, many of whom are children and women.

Also controversial is the use of these drone strikes to assassinate suspected “terrorists” and individuals on Obama’s kill list –– without charges or trial –– including U.S. citizens, as well as the traumatic psychological effects on the civilians living under these drones, which are flying constantly overhead at all times of day and night.

Forty countries are believed to be working on drones. Development trends include law enforcement, spy drones that can see through walls, drones that can operate in a swarm, and drones to be used in building construction. In Zurich, Switzerland, scientists have been developing small flying robots that work as a team at an impressive speed to lift heavy concrete blocks into place on a complex tower structure – a process that would otherwise necessitate scaffolding and dozens of human workers.

This technology gives rise to worrisome questions about invasion of privacy – and not merely because of the actions of government. With private companies in the U.S. and Europe now developing cheap aerial drones that can be controlled with the kind of software used in smart phones, pilotless aircraft just a couple of feet across may soon be commercially available for a few hundred dollars. Imagine, then, the images that a paparazzi photographer could obtain with a camera drone able to fly over high walls or hover outside windows set atop a multistory building.

This film, from Dutch filmmakers Vincent Verweij, Fred Sengers and KRO, looks at the development and use of these extraordinary machines and asks where their use might lead.

Transparency is desperately needed in many areas of our society, with the healthcare industry being a prime example among many. Colorado Public Television (CPT12) is once more at the cutting edge with its upcoming presentation of the documentary Burzynski: The Movie.

Please forward this announcement, and let your friends know this presentation will be streamed. Do not miss this groundbreaking film!

And please, donate to this highly independent station, which is once more charting a path for other media to follow.

CPT12 will be airing a documentary film that challenges the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) and Big Pharma and gives hope to cancer patients, formerly thought to be incurable, by alerting them to nontoxic alternative treatments.

Colorado Public Television (CPT12) will air Burzynski: The Movie, on March 7 at 7:00 PM.

This presentation will feature live in the CPT12 studio both the film’s director, Eric Merola, and Houston’s Burzynski Clinic spokesperson Azad Rastegar. The film will also be available here via web stream during the live broadcast March 7 at 7:00 PM, and again on March 8 at 10:00 PM, and thereafter continuously through June 2013.

Burzynski is the story of a pioneering medical doctor and PhD biochemist, Dr. Stanislaw Burzynski, who—utilizing his discovery of a previously unknown group of peptides in the human body—invented a new, proprietary gene-targeting cancer therapy called Antineoplastons. This documentary takes the audience through the treacherous, yet victorious, 14-year journey both Dr. Burzynski and his patients endured. Dr. Burzynski has obtained FDA-approved clinical trials verifying his discovery of Antineoplastons. His discovery has resulted in the largest and most convoluted defeat of the Food and Drug Administration in American history.

“CPT12 has a legacy of supporting independent voices – those of filmmakers, artists and innovators,” said Shari Bernson, Director of Development at CPT12. “The station continues to build on a long history of airing content that is ahead of the mainstream media. Our viewers and supporters have let us know that they like to think for themselves, and we strive to provide access to new talent as well as information to help empower people to make their own discoveries and decisions.”

Bernson continued, “Our track record for being ahead of the curve is ripe with examples from local to international music, art, and spirituality, as well as Transparency Content – programs that examine and question the world we live in, ranging from alternative and natural health and wellness to factory farming, genetically modified organisms (GMOs), crop circles, the events of 9/11, and the environment. CPT12 provides a forum for public discussion and we invite you to participate!”

Directed by Eric Merola, the film provides first person testimonials and documented proof of collusion between the FDA and the National Cancer Institute, as well as examples of sabotage and misrepresentation by these organizations. The government and Big Pharma have made multiple attempts to harass Dr. Burzynski by convening grand juries against him, all of which have found no basis for a guilty verdict. Burzynski: The Movie has met with critical acclaim from numerous individuals and media outlets including The New York Times, which on June 4, 2010, offered, “No one appears to contest the efficacy of his treatment; the problem…is a pharmaceutical industry with nothing to gain – and much to lose – from the introduction of a highly successful, nontoxic competitor to chemotherapy and radiation.”

The USA Patriot Act was passed by Congress immediately following 9/11.

Unconstitutional: The War On Our Civil Liberties (68 minutes), another excellent film by Robert Greenwald, is an inside look at this controversial bill through the eyes of legal analysts and constitutional experts as they examine the dangers the Patriot Act poses to our civil liberties, individual freedoms, and our U.S. Constitution.

The film follows the passage of the controversial legislation through Congress, the effect it has on all Americans, especially Arabs and Muslims in the U.S., and it addresses the treatment of prisoners at Guantanamo Bay. The film also reveals the effects of the Patriot Act on both Americans and immigrants, such as Aquil Abdullah, a 2004 U.S. Olympic rower who happens to be Catholic, who turned up on no-fly lists simply because of his name; Sam Hamoui, a storekeeper, and his family, living in Seattle, who were detained by federal agents; A.J. Brown, a North Carolina college student visited by agents investigating her alleged “un-American” activities; and librarians and store owners who were pressured to release their customer records, all in the name of “Homeland Security.”

The Patriot Act (a 342-page bill presented to Congress just hours before it was to be voted on–and which was a substitution for the original bill without the bipartisan Committee’s approval!) now allows the government to access your email and bank accounts, as well as your medical records, financial records, phone records, library transactions, and credit card purchase records, with no court order. Your home or business can also be searched anytime without a warrant, and without your knowing it (called “Sneak and Peek” searches).

Unconstitutional provides the facts and evidence that illuminate administration lies, wrongheaded policies, and the real victims of these actions – the American people. Inspired by citizen action and awareness, numerous City Councils throughout the country are challenging the unconstitutionality of this draconian legislation, as shown in the film. Citizens are waking up, getting informed, speaking out, and taking action.

Participants interviewed in Unconstitutional include:

• Laura Murphy, Director – Washington Legislative Office, American Civil Liberties Union
• Rep. Peter A. DeFazio, (D) Oregon
• David D. Cole, Professor of Law, Georgetown University
• Former Rep. Robert Barr, (R) Georgia
• Anthony Romero, Executive Director, American Civil Liberties Union
• Barbara Olshansky, Deputy Legal Director, Center for Constitutional Rights
• Vincent Cannistraro, former CIA Director for Counter Terrorism and Operations Analysis
• The Hamoui family – Sam Hamoui, Safouh Hamoui, Hanan Hamoui, Mohammed Hamoui, Nadin Hamoui, and Rham Hamoui
• Kathy Culliton, Legislative Staff Attorney, Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund
• Thomas B. Wilner, attorney for Kuwaitee detainees
• Maj. Michael Mori, U.S. military lawyer appointed to Guantanamo detainee David Hicks
• Azmat Begg, father of Guantanamo Bay detainee
• Donna Newman, attorney for Jose Padilla
• Anne Turner, librarian, Santa Cruz Public Library
• Ryan Coonerty, Bookstore Owner
• Douglas Heller, Executive Director, Foundation for Taxpayer and Consumer Rights
• Mara Verheyden-Hilliard, Partnership for Justice
• David Lindorff, investigative reporter and author of This Can’t Be Happening
• Jayashri Srikantian, American Civil Liberties Union
• Andrew O’Connor, former Public Defender
• A.J. Brown, student
• Ken Kurtis, owner, Reefseekers
• Dave Meserve, Arcata City Council member

This month’s event will also include a short 9/11 film (28 minutes), featuring a presentation by Dr. Kevin Danaher, Co-Founder of Global Exchange, Executive Co-Producer of Green Festivals, and Executive Director of Global Citizen Center. His very inspiring, positive and uplifting presentation was given at the “9/11: Reclaiming the Truth, Reclaiming Our Future” conference in San Francisco on September 11, 2011. Dr. Danaher is also the author/co-author of 10 Reasons to Abolish the IMF & World Bank, Building the Green Economy: Success Stories from the Grass Roots, Insurrection: Citizen Challenges to Corporate Power, and Corporations Are Gonna Get Your Mama.

Please join us for our February meeting, as we examine the unconstitutional legislation that has been set in place in our country (justified by the false-flag event of 9/11) and to re-confirm the importance of revealing the truth of 9/11.

Ethos: A Time for Change
Ethos, a powerful new documentary directed by Pete McGrain and hosted by actor Woody Harrelson, is an investigation into the flaws of our political system, and the mechanisms that work against democracy, our environment, and the common good. With both stunning depth of research and breadth of analysis, this film delves deep into the inter-connected worlds of politics, multinational corporations, and the media.

The film touches on 9/11–as a lie we’ve been told. It focuses on the power that corporations and the military-industrial complex have managed to gain in Congress, how presidents and legislators (whether Democrat or Republican) are doing the bidding of these corporations, and how the Federal Reserve, largely in private hands, is in control of our money.

How have we arrived at a point where our democracy is loudly touted as having created an egalitarian society, yet we see increasing levels of injustice, corruption, and income disparity? How have we arrived at a point where, with the help of major corporations and the mainstream media, politicians openly deceive the public, illegal wars are waged, and the environment is under relentless assault?

Featuring interviews with influential thought-leaders, including author and activist Noam Chomsky, Chalmers Johnson (Blowback: The Sorrows of Empire), Michael Moore, and Howard Zinn (A People’s History of the United States), Ethos will show you how to make meaningful and sustainable change in order to create a world where we can live harmoniously in a clean environment.

This film presents a variety of material about which the general public must become informed if we are to return to a viable democratic republic. This material also supports the mission of Colorado 9/11 Visibility by illuminating the context within which false flag operations and other deceptions can and already have occurred.

Documentaries are not the only medium through which people have their worldviews successfully challenged. Some of us are more affected by storytelling. Good fiction, music and lyrics, poetry, and fairy tales can often pierce the depths of the psyche where facts and rational analysis fail.

For this reason, this month we are pleased to air the docudrama Operation Terror, written and produced by filmmaker Art Olivier, a former mayor of Bellflower, CA. This film tells a story, and does it well considering its low budget and that it was written and produced by a first-time filmmaker.

But don’t hold your breath for this film to reach the theaters. Although it is well-produced, each time Olivier’s staff revealed its content, the theaters suddenly lost interest.

For 9/11 Truth purists, the film will ruffle some feathers as it presents a few elements of the false flag theory that many of us feel have been debunked by our most careful 9/11 Truth researchers. Nevertheless, we must remember that this is a very large movement, that we are never going to agree on one theory about how this operation was pulled off–unless, of course, there is a real and unbiased investigation.

But what we can all agree on currently is that (1) we have been royally lied to by our officials about what happened on that infamous day, which changed the world so drastically, and (2) the three World Trade Center (WTC) buildings were destroyed by demolition devices.

In addition, we now have available to us the 9/11 Consensus Panel, made up of disparate 9/11 Truth activists who have found points on which they can all agree. There is no excuse, therefore, for media to set up straw men that they can then knock down to discredit this movement. Send your friends to this site for clarification about points on which most of us can agree!

For the most part, Operation Terror supports the scientific approach followed by Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth, and the forensic studies showing tons of nanothermite in the WTC dust.

Although banned in theaters, the film aired last October in Berkeley, CA, with filmmaker Art Olivier, Richard Gage, AIA, and Ken Jenkins answering questions afterward. The Q and A was very informative and can be seen here. The film can be purchased at operationterror.com.

Festivals: Operation Terror premiered internationally at the Fajr Film Festival in Tehran, Iran. The U.S. domestic premiere was at the Riverside Film Festival in California. Other festivals include the Monaco Charity Film Festival; the International Film Festival for Peace, Inspiration and Equality; Baghdad International Film Festival; and the New Horizon Independent Filmmakers Festival.

Awards: Operation Terror won the Honorable Mention award at the International Film Festival for Peace, Inspiration and Equality, and won the Genre Film: “Thriller” at the International Movie Awards; and Paul Cross was nominated Best Director at the Fajr International Film Festival.

Please join us to view this film with critiquing eyes and ears and for a lively discussion afterward!

Please note: This month

Boulder’s meeting will be on the 3rd Wednesday (December 19), and

Denver’s meeting will begin at 6:00 PM.

During this Christmas/holy-day season of “Peace on Earth and Goodwill to All,” please join us for our December meetings as we screen two films, both of which illustrate the power of peace, humanity, and nonviolence: The Christmas Truce (44 minutes), is a dramatized documentary, and the second film is a 30-minute segment on the Civil Rights Movement from the documentary A Force More Powerful.

The Christmas truce was a series of widespread unofficial ceasefires that took place along the Western Front (the Belgian-French-German border) during World War I. They began at Flanders Fields a few days before Christmas, 1914. In one of the truest acts of goodwill toward men, both German and British soldiers set aside their weapons and hatred, if only temporarily, and met in the flat area between their trenches, known as “No-man’s-land.”

Starting on Christmas Eve, the Germans began by placing candles on their trenches and on Christmas trees, then continued the celebration by singing Christmas carols. The British responded by singing carols of their own. The two sides continued by shouting Christmas greetings to each other.

Some of the German soldiers emerged from their trenches and approached the Allied lines across “No-man’s-land,” calling out “Merry Christmas!” in their enemies’ native tongues. At first, the Allied soldiers feared it was a trick, but seeing the Germans were unarmed they climbed out of their trenches and shook hands with them.

The two sides embraced one another, exchanged gifts, shared photos from home, and sang together. There was even a documented case of soldiers from opposing sides playing a good-natured game of football (soccer). Soldiers took the opportunity to bury their dead, sometimes in joint burial services.

This spontaneous demonstration of goodwill and brotherhood spread about two-thirds (400 miles) along the front line, involved approximately 100,000 soldiers, and lasted about two weeks. It ended only when officers threatened to court-martial soldiers who fraternized with the enemy–a crime punishable by death–demonstrating that without coercion from authority, humans resist killing one another.

The Christmas truce of 1914 is seen as a symbolic moment of peace and humanity amidst one of the most violent events of modern history.

A Force More Powerful explores one of the 20th century’s most important but least understood stories: how nonviolent power has overcome oppression and authoritarian rule all over the world. Narrated by Ben Kingsley, and nominated for an Emmy, A Force More Powerful was originally released as a feature-length film that played in festivals worldwide; the film was then expanded into a three-hour television series that aired nationally on PBS in 2000, and has since been seen around the world.

A Force More Powerful explores how popular movements resisted entrenched regimes and military forces by using unconventional methods. These included acts of civil resistance and noncooperation that obstructed the operations of government as well as direct intervention –– in the form of sit-ins, nonviolent sabotage, blockades, boycotts, and general strikes –– all of which frustrated many rulers’ efforts to suppress people.

The historical results were far-reaching: tyrants were toppled and governments overthrown, occupying armies were impeded, and repressive political systems were shattered. Entire societies were transformed, suddenly or gradually, as nonviolent resistance neutralized the repressors’ abilities to control events.

Episode one: In the 1960s, Gandhi’s nonviolent methods were taken up by black college students in Nashville, Tennessee. Reverend James Lawson, a black Methodist minister in Nashville, had studied Satyagraha (literally “holding firmly to truth,” through nonviolent action) under Gandhi.

Highly organized, coordinated, disciplined, and strictly nonviolent, trained students and civil rights activists successfully desegregated Nashville’s downtown lunch counters in five months, becoming a model for the entire Civil Rights Movement. After the successes in Nashville, the leaders were able to take these strategies and methods elsewhere in the country, resulting in a partial but important transformation of our American society.

At a time when violence is still too often deployed, A Force More Powerful dramatizes how ordinary people throughout the world, working against all kinds of opponents, have taken up the cause of truth and justice with nonviolent actions, and prevailed.

Please join us for these enlightening and inspiring documentaries, followed by a lively discussion. Cookies and holiday treats will be provided in Denver. See you then.

(1) Genetic Roulette: The Gamble of Our Lives (85 min)

From studying 9/11, most become aware that the corruption within our government has reached draconian lows. Our featured documentary this month reveals another example of this corruption. This time our health is at stake.

Are you and your family on the wrong side of a bet?

When the US government ignored repeated warnings by its own scientists and allowed untested genetically modified (GM) crops into our environment and food supply, it was a gamble of unprecedented proportions. The health of all living things and of all future generations was put at risk by an infant technology.

After two decades, physicians and scientists have uncovered a grave trend. The same serious health problems found in lab animals, livestock, and pets that have been fed GM foods are now on the rise in the US population. And when people and animals stop eating genetically modified organisms (GMOs), their health improves.

This seminal documentary by Jeffrey Smith, author of the world’s best-selling book on GMOs, Seeds of Deception, provides compelling evidence to help explain the deteriorating health of Americans, especially among children, and offers a recipe for protecting ourselves and our future.

We will have copies of this film available for a donation at this showing, but if you are unable to join us, you may watch the film online, and you may purchase it here. When you purchase the film, you will receive a bonus DVD, Seeds of Freedom, which contains the following informative specials:

Seeds of Freedom (28 min)
Narrated by Jeremy Irons, produced by The Gaia Foundation and African Biodiversity Network, this landmark film shows how the story of seed at the hands of multinationals has become one of loss, control, dependence and debt.

The Documented Health Risks of Genetically Engineered Foods (42 min)
Jeffrey Smith presents a concise, hard-hitting talk to more than 800 healthcare practitioners at Andrew Weil’s Arizona Center for Integrated Medicine conference in 2011.

The Politics of GMOs (16 min)
This presentation excerpt describes the unholy alliance between the US government and Monsanto, as well as some highlights of Monsanto’s dark history.

12 Short Public Service Announcements

(2) Unequal Justice: The Relentless Rise of the 1% Court (20 min)

This short film explores the growing pro-corporate bias in key Court decisions and their real-world impact on ordinary Americans. Steadily and relentlessly, the Court has been transformed into an institution that frequently serves the interests of the wealthiest one percent.

We see the devastating impact on American values in decisions made by a 5-4 vote. What does this mean for us politically? Can we change the direction of the Court through the judicial process? Should we focus solely on presidential politics to change the Court’s direction, or should we focus on the Senate as well?

If this trend were to continue, in what ways could our lives be impacted for the worse?
